We want to see progress in our country. That is why we take things into our own hands and assume responsibility. With around 800 projects throughout Germany, we are ensuring better education, innovative entrepreneurship and the professional integration of refugees.
Strengthening the youth: 1,000 Chances
With the project “Strengthening the Youth: 1,000 Chances", we support young people in their transition from school to work; especially those who do not have ideal starting conditions. Since 2012, we have already managed to reach around 10,000 young people with our campaigns. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
Start-Up Your Future
Our project "Start-Up Your Future" supported refugees on their way to establish their own business in Berlin and Brandenburg. For this task, we provided them with a committed mentor, who advised them on all matters relating to starting a business and self-employment. Mentors were young business leaders, entrepreneurs and executives who wanted to voluntarily assist refugee entrepreneurs. The project was funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The project ran from July 2017 to March 2020. It was awarded as best national flagship project for inclusive entrepreneurship from the European Commission in 2019.
Know-how-Transfer with the German Bundestag
Politicians are often not aware of the specific challenges of young entrepreneurs. That is why we launched the Know-how-Transfer: 200 young business leaders from all over Germany spend a week shadowing members of the German Bundestag in their daily political life. They take part in parliamentary party meetings and parliamentary evenings. This exchange of ideas helps parliamentarians and young entrepreneurs understand their respective positions and backgrounds. In addition, members of the German Bundestag learn more about the reality of being an entrepreneur and the actual requirements for the young economy to strive.
Vocational Training Hero (“Ausbildungs-Ass”)
The "War for Talent" does not stop at vocational training. Companies looking for qualified applicants for their apprenticeships must therefore find new ways. With "Vocational Training Hero" we honor innovative training-oriented companies that are particularly creative and sustainable in providing vocational training. The award comes with 15,000 euros.
